500th anniversary

The construction of St. Anne's Church was completed 500 years ago.

PRESS RELEASE

With a festival week in September, we are celebrating the completion of St. Anne's Church exactly 500 years ago.

We thank God for his preservation of our church and all the blessings we have been able to experience over this long period.

The festival program is as follows:

Sunday, September 21, 9 a.m.: Festive Service with Rev. Dr. Carsten Rentzing

Monday, September 22, 7 p.m.: Anna Radiates! – Keynote Lecture by Dr. Frank Schmidt, Art Service of the Saxon Regional Church
and a play on the "ages of life"

Wednesday, September 24, 7 p.m.: Anna Speaks! – Bible evening with Rev. Karsten Loderstädt

Thursday, September 25th, 2:30 p.m. and 3:50 p.m.: Church rally for elementary school children

Friday, September 26th, 7 p.m.: Anna sounds! – Concert with SAMUEL RÖSCH and band ("I believe in you")

Sunday, September 28th, 5 p.m.: Gala concert with choir and orchestra –
Georg Frideric Handel: "Dettinger Te Deum" and
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: "As the deer pants for fresh water" (Psalm Cantata)

To mark this anniversary, the church council is requesting an anniversary donation for the structural maintenance of the church. The period from Easter to All Saints' Day is intended for this purpose.
You are welcome to transfer your donation with the subject "St. Annen's Anniversary Donation 2025" or place it in the envelopes available at the parish office or at St. Annen's Church. Thank you very much.
